Within the context of UA’s comprehensive liberal arts curriculum, the Dance Program offers both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree that prepares students for successful and productive lives as dance artists, educators, and scholars at the state, regional, national, and international levels. The program’s curriculum is designed to foster inclusive learning and intellectual curiosity while teaching students the skillsets essential to the creative process, scholarly inquiry, and professional engagement in the professional fields of dance.
The University of Alabama is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD). Admission into the dance program is by audition only.
